For the Black Hills Museum of Natural Science, a long-standing institution in Hill City, South Dakota, we developed a conceptual rebrand inspired by their upcoming remodel and discovery of the Tyrannosaurus rex DUFFY. Though this project was created purely for fun, it demonstrates our ability to modernize and elevate a legacy brand while honoring its scientific roots. We reimagined the museum’s visual identity with a bold, contemporary logo system and cohesive color palette that evokes both discovery and preservation. To bring the brand to life, we designed mockups for a sleek, educational website and dynamic social media presence that would engage visitors and science enthusiasts alike. Complementary business cards, print materials, and tote bag designs rounded out the concept, extending the visual story across every touchpoint. This speculative project highlights our strength in storytelling through design and our ability to craft cohesive branding that connects heritage with modern appeal.
